While people often tend to go for mayonnaise to fill their sandwiches, they forget mustard. Mustard is a much healthier alternative to mayonnaise, as it has less calories. However, there is an alternative for those who simply love mayonnaise too much to renounce it. It consists of buying low-fat mayonnaise and low-fat yoghurt and mixing them together instead of using mayonnaise only.

This way the person can still taste the mayonnaise in the sandwich, but its amount is only half of what it normally is, and therefore, the sandwich is much healthier.

Another sandwich filling that can be replaced with a healthier choice is cheese. This means switching cheddar cheese with gout cheese. It might take some getting used to, but after that all cheese lovers will undoubtedly adapt to this cheese flavor as well.

There is also a little special trick regarding cheese, and it involves mixing gout cheese and camembert cheese together on a crusty bread and they will taste pretty similar to the mouth-watering New York cheesecake.
