Healthy people should have healthy looking skin, hair and nails. Since many of us don’t have any medical problem whatsoever but also don’t have the beautiful hair or strong nails, we could blame the genetic predisposition, stress or sometimes the food we eat for the brittle nails and hair loss. Proper eating habits and healthy diet should provide plenty of vitamins and minerals, essential for the nails, skin and the hair.

There is something else we could do – taking some mineral and vitamin supplements. Some supplements are made especially for the hair and nails, and those products contain additional substances claimed to help the growth and quality of the hair and nails. Such products may contain antioxidants, essential oils and fatty acids, collagen and many othersubstances.

When you start using these supplements don’t expect quick results. Most vitamins need time to work in the body, but the result should be satisfying and you would improve the quality of both your hair and nails.
