As our face gets exposed to pollution, stress, exertion and other similar factors, it ages prematurely, having wrinkles appearing on its surface, making us look older than we actually are. Most people get frustrated about this issue and increase their stress levels, leading to more wrinkles. However, the best step you can take is to try some of many facial exercises which will make your face muscles strong and your skin tight, removing wrinkles.
Facial Exercises for Removing Wrinkles
Even though wrinkles in the forehead area are the most prominent ones, one may also have wrinkles between the eyebrows. In order to remove the wrinkles on your forehead you can try the following facial exercise routine.
Sit upright and make sure that your eyebrows are lowered as much as possible. Basically, you have to frown like you usually do. At the same time flare your nostrils and wrinkle your nose, holding the entire position for about 5 seconds. Then, once this is done, you can relax a bit and repeat the whole procedure again. Five repetitions will be optimal.
Once you finish this, you can lie on your back on your bed, with your head hanging over the edge. Then, try and lift your eyebrows as much as you can while keeping your eyes open. Hold this position for 5 seconds and repeat 10 times, relaxing a bit in between.
Other Facial Exercises
As far as the wrinkles around your eyes are concerned, you can deal with them by pressing your two fingers on the temples, close to the eyes. Then, gently pull them back while closing and opening your eyes. This exercise is very effective once you repeat it about 10 times a day.
Moving on to your cheeks, if you desire to prevent wrinkles from forming in this area, you are supposed to fill your mouth with air, hold it for about 5 seconds and release it slowly. Do not get upset if you start feeling warmth in the cheeks because this is solely due to the stretching of the muscles in the area. Repeat 10 times.
Saying “EE”, “OO” and “AH” while stretching your lips as much as you can is a routine which will keep your mouth and lips free from wrinkles. Again, 10 repetitions daily will suffice.
Next, pull your chin down with your fingers and roll your lower lip under the teeth. After holding this position for 5 seconds, relax and repeat again. Alternatively, you can look at the ceiling and move your lower lip over the upper lip as much as you can, again holding it for 5 seconds before relaxing and repeating the procedure 10 times.
