Martial arts might be the complete activity, something that will not only create a strong and fit body, but people will also learn something useful, how to defend themselves. What should be known about jujitsu techniques? First of all, here is a little trip back to the old Japan.
There were many dojos, spread all over the country, and each dojo kept their knowledge a secret. Each dojo actually used different sorts of jujitsu techniques emphasizing some of the aspects, such as punching and kicking, throwing, use of weapons, lock downs, swordsmanship (use of katana) etc. From this initial source, most of Asian martial arts have been created.
Mind and body
It is true that martial arts are actually all about the power of the mind. If you defeat the opponent in your mind, all that is left is to transfer that to reality. This does not mean that fantasizing about victory will bring you one, but if a pathway to it has been laid down step by step in the mind, there is no reason not to do that for real. Winning by mind also means that a jujitsu practitioner must never feel fear, or at least he or she has to learn how to control it.
Only then the techniques will be pure and done without any mistakes. When mind is free of thoughts, when there is nothing but motion to think of, that is when the technique will succeed and the opponent will be defeated. Of course, even thinking about the technique is dangerous in the real conflict; all that is needed is reaction without thinking. This can be achieved only when the body reacts on its own, but for that, years of training are needed.
Jujitsu
This martial art is specific by its throwing, locks and ground forms. It has many variations, and from all of these, several different martial arts have been born. Those are judo, aiki jutsu (with aikido later on), and Brazilian jujitsu. This last one has succeeded a lot, especially in South America, where it became popular because of Gracie family, whose male members all practice this martial art and are very good at it.
Some of the element of Brazilian jujitsu are used in MMA, the youngest martial art, yet very useful and popular martial art. Judo is focused more on throwing techniques and lockdowns. Aikido has the softest approach trying to avoid the full body contact and using lock downs mostly. Whichever martial art is used, it is essential to practice properly and to develop both mind and body at the same time.
