Side effects of too much protein

There is also a possible danger of kidney stones. Older people are more likely to suffer from kidney problems.

If a person consumes too much protein and too few fats, there is a great chance that he or she will suffer from constipation. Hemorrhoids and even colon cancer are a possible danger. Obesity and even heart problems may occur if a person consumes too much protein.

Accumulation of ketones in the blood is also one of the most common side effects of too much protein intake. A person with ketosis may suffer from dehydration.
