When thisskin disorder is left untreated, the boils may considerably grow in size, andtogether with the surrounding boils make a giant boil with many heads, which iscalled carbuncle.The people over 30 may develop itchyneck rush due to seborrheic keratosis, which is the excessive growth of theepidermis. Freezing, scraping and electrosurgery are the methods that are usedin the treatment of this skin disease.Furthermore, itchy neck rush may be inducedby the condition called tinea versicolor (or pityriasis versicolor) caused by ayeast that thrives on the skin. In normal conditions, the rash caused by thisinfection is not itching, but it tends to become itchy in low or hightemperatures, as well as in high humidity.Sebaceous cyst or epidermoid cyst on the neckmay lead to the occurrence of itchy neck rush. This cyst forms itself due to aninjury when the epidermis grows into the dermis. Even though this cyst does notshow any symptom, it can be quite uncomfortable when the lesion ruptures.
