How and Why Does One Have Acne?
First of all, numerous factors trigger the appearance of this quite unpleasant condition. Tightly connected with hormones which tend to produce oil and deliver it to your face, back and chest, it is not hard to understand why most people in their adolescent period or in their 30s or 40s tend to suffer from it. Hormonal acne are most likely to strike in periods of hormonal change. However, vitamin deficiency or, perhaps, malnutrition may also be responsible for these piled up pimples. Although, there might be more reasons behind this skin condition, these three are the most often. As for the possible cures, there are many products and natural ways all thought to be efficient. Nevertheless, one should concentrate on the cause and, by informing him or herself, find the correct remedy for acne.
Vitamin Deficiency
Bearing in mind that this type of acne may also be caused by certain vitamin deficiency, there are a few vitamins which are crucial for one's healthy skin. In most cases, acne sufferers do not lack only one vitamin, but, rather, there is a necessary combination which, again, may not be sufficient for a complete acne removal, but may present an excellent foundation. Namely, these vitamins are A, C, E and the B complex, along with minerals like magnesium and zinc. Ensuring their intake will most certainly show positive results. However, one should be careful about the dosage, since excessive intake of vitamins may cause more harm than good. Finally, this intake should take place while using some other skin cleaning programs, topical medications or similar ways of dealing with acne, in order to achieve the best results.
Hormonal Imbalance
Since both men and especially women tend to suffer from hormonal acne, it is important to know that there are a few ways of successfully tackling the problem. As far as women are concerned, they have seemed to benefit the most from oral contraceptive pills. These pills reduce the levels of androgen, the hormone causing oil to get expelled through our pores. As for the male part of population, whose problem is not estrogen, but testosterone, there are types of medications called antiandrogens, which reduce the excessive production of the male hormone thus reducing oil production and subsequently acne.
There are numerous other creams, lotions and medications which are supposed to be effective against acne. Laser acne removal may also be a valuable choice, however, due to its price and necessity of repetitive use, many decide not to choose this method. Finally, proper skin care is always a must. Keeping your skin clean, either with some cosmetic medications or simply by regular soap washing will surely make the difference. Also, if you use makeup or similar products, make sure you do not overdo it and choose products which are good for your skin and cause no negative reactions.
