To put it simply, missing out on breakfast is not a good idea. For many people, there is just no time for breakfast as a result of hectic or strict schedules. Breakfast, however, is a must-have and without it, you will not be able to provide the body with the fuel it needs to get through the day. Breakfast can also give your metabolism a kick start, which can help with the burning of calories.

Breakfast options

One could try preparing an omelet. In the omelet, include turkey slices or soy bacon. The omelet should be prepared with one egg, two egg whites and a cup of assorted vegetables. Fry the omelet in olive oil and pair it with some orange juice.

Tofu is another great breakfast option. Scrambled tofu can take the place of scrambled eggs. Add some onions, peppers, vegetables, garlic salt, black pepper and some soy sauce. Drink some mixed fruit juice with the tofu.

Milk and cereals

Milk and cereal is a traditional breakfast. You can also try adding almond milk instead of normal milk, and to spice things up a bit more, add some fresh fruits, such as berries, bananas or even raisins.

Bagels and burritos

Bagels can be a good wake up call in the mornings. Use a whole wheat bagel and include some cottage cheese, almond butter and apple slices. If you like, try some salad alongside the bagel, as well as some herbal tea or orange juice.

Surprisingly, burritos can be healthy and a good breakfast option. Prepare the burritos with whole wheat tortilla, scrambled eggs or tofu, cheese and vegetables. Add some salsa for extra spice.

Parfait and oats

You can try making a breakfast parfait, which requires low-fat yogurt, granola, unsweetened corn flakes and fresh berries. Prepare the parfait in layers of ingredients. This is a fast, easy and delicious way to breakfast.

Oats are another good breakfast choice. Cook the oats and mix in some raisins, cranberries, soy milk and banana slices. Wash down the mixture with some apple juice.

Toast and pancakes

French toast is a delicious breakfast idea. Make the toast with whole-grain bread and an egg. Mix it with fat-free milk, cinnamon powder and vanilla. Drink a cup of herbal tea or fruit juice with the toast.

Pancakes and waffles are an old favorite. Prepare them with half all-purpose flour and half whole wheat flour and add some oats, flax seed, berries or oat bran for a great tasting breakfast. Drink some almond milk with this breakfast.
