Introduction to Epsom salt for acne

Epsom salt is a type of mineral that occurs naturally, and in the scientific community it is known as magnesium sulfate.

This mineral has a variety of different medical uses and it can be used in a bath, or applied to heal itchy, flaky, dry skin. Some people can even use it as a part of a cleansing program or to relieve constipation.

Epson salt is also used for a variety of injury treatments, and can be applied to heal muscle sprains, strains and pulls.

Another important use of Epsom salt is for treating acne problems.

It has anti-inflammatory agents that will reduce the skin irritation and redness that acne may cause.

Ways to use Epsom salt to treat acne

Epsom salt can be used as an effective cleanser for the skin for a person who is experiencing acne problems.

Just mix a half teaspoon of the salt with a daily cleansing cream in order to make a potent acne remedy.

It should be massaged into the area of the skin that the acne is occurring in, but the person must be sure to be gentle while massaging the area. If the person is not careful, they can potentially cause the infection to spread to other areas of the skin as well.

Once the face has been thoroughly massaged, wash the face with cold water and pat it dry.

Another good way to get rid of acne is by dissolving about two tablespoons of Epsom salt in a cup of water and then dipping cotton into the mixture and soaking it on the areas of the face where the acne is occurring. A person can also pour some of the salt into a bath for a relaxing experience that will also improve the skin.

Another good idea is to mix the salt with a cleanser yet again and use it to exfoliate the skin.

Epsom salt can also be used to create a potent mask that will battle acne. Put a half a tablespoon of Epsom salt in a bowl along with one tablespoon of cognac, one of dry milk, one of fresh lime juice and mix it together.

Apply this mask to the face and let it dry. Once the mask dries completely, rinse it off of the skin with cold water.

A good way to make a detoxifying bath that will rid the skin of oils and toxins is to put one cup of the salt, some sea salt and two tablespoons of bath oil into the hot tub and allow this great mixture to both relax the senses and improve the appearance of the skin as well.
