Zoladex is a medication which is used for treating the symptoms of breast cancer, endometriosis and prostate cancer. It can also be used before the endometrial ablation. Zoladex is an artificial hormone which causes the body to stop producing certain hormones for some time. It is not recommended for pregnant women because it can cause damages to the baby. The side effect of Zoladex which are rare but can cause harm to your well-being include pain in the back, pain in the chest, breathing difficulties, irregular pulse, pain in the breasts, pain in the bones, blood in the urine or vomit, troubles with urination, fever, chills, extreme mood changes, severe headache, faintness, vision impairment, unexplained weight gain, constant fatigue, and swelling of the legs and arms. If you have just started taking Zoladex for the first time you may experience an allergic reaction. Allergic reaction to this medication includes skin disorders such as rash, irritation and itchiness, breathing difficulties, tension in the chest, swelling of the tongue, lips and face.
The side effects of Zoladex can be classified according to the parts of the body. There are side effects which affects the nervous system, genitourinary side effects, psychiatric, dermatologic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, respiratory, musculoskeletal, metabolic, hematologic, ocular, endocrine, oncologic and general side effects.
