The best way to recover quickly is to avoid muscle fatigue. In some cases, medication and anti-inflammatory drugs can be taken to reduce joint swelling and other things of that nature that are causing the pain.
If the pain is being causes by a serious injury, such as a broken bone in the arm, then a person might need surgery followed by physical therapy.
