Introduction

Today’s world is a hectic world. Many people find themselves at the end of each day each month or year or at the end of their life wondering if they lived it to the fullest, if there was something left undone, if they had a potential they failed to fulfill. Being in balance with one’s self is the key for making the best out of the day and eventually, out of life.

There are some elements that, if incorporated into daily routine, help achieve that goal.

Exercise

Some exercise is not that hard to squeeze in even in the tightest schedule. Physical activity according to one’s diet, weight, lifestyle and work is very important and makes a significant part of every healthy day routine. It does not matter what type of exercise it is. Depending on a person’s inclinations and shape, it can be jogging, walking, weight lifting, bicycle riding, swimming, practicing yoga, martial arts or tai chi or even dancing.

Meditation

During their waking life people are more or less in constant state of action. When they sleep, they are in the state of minimal activity but no self-awareness. Meditation is the middle way. It is the state of non-action but yet of full awareness. During meditation the system is at rest and it heals, while the mind detaches from the perceived idea of reality and it is able to reach absolute reality and learn from it. Thinking

Of course, a person is always thinking but the question is if that thinking is leading to solutions or not. It is recommended to dedicate few minutes each day to really think through issues that are most important for the person in that particular moment, like love, health, finance, work, aspirations, problems, and aims.

Game

Playfulness is a very important but neglected part of adulthood. An adult can benefit greatly from playing, and it is best if done with children, who are constantly in a state of playfulness. Receiving/Reading

The senses of hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting and touching are given to human race for a reason and they should be used to the fullest. Perceiving the details of simple, everyday environment can be very fulfilling. It is also important to set aside some time to read, even if just one passage a day.

Expression/WritingUnfortunately, most people are not allowed to express freely in their formal and social interaction. What is left unsaid and unexpressed can be written down in a diary, blog or something else. No one even needs to read it, it is important for each person to express his or herself freely. The idea is to release and charge up. GratitudeEven persons who are not religious can find an entity or an idea to which they can express their gratitude for whatever they have got. “Thank you” is a magic formula and if used in all honesty and with pure soul, it can positively transform one’s life. Party

Everyone needs to have fun. It does not necessarily mean a wild night out or a formal dinner party, it can simply be a fun time spent with friends, family or loved ones. Music should be always present in this part of daily routine as it has extraordinary healing power.
