When the skin is anyhow damaged it leads to the unattractiveness of that person, not to mention the problem of wrinkles. That is why there are a lot of cosmetic products available on the market and many treatments for the rejuvenation of the skin. And, it is also the consequence of the fact that people don’t treat their skin well and don’t take enough care of its health. For example, it can be seen in the poor eating habits, and consequently to that, the deficiency of the healthy nutrients in the people’s organism, which is very well reflected on the skin.

Skin is a kind of the protector of the entire organism and we must pay a lot more attention to it in order to preserve its health. As already mentioned, the skin must be supplied with the basic nutrients, and those are the vitamins, minerals, fibers, proteins and carbohydrates. In that purpose, it is recommendable to significantly increase the consumption of the foods with the highest concentrations of those ingredients, so the raw veggies, whole grains and fresh fruits should be eaten a lot.
After taking care of the diet, the proper care must be focused on the skin treatments, and this means, cleaning it on a daily basis, but not excessively, because that way the skin loses its necessary lipids (which are needed for its elasticity). So, the excessively hot water and the drying soaps are harmful, and instead of those, the best way to lock up its humidity is to apply a moisturizing lotion right away after taking lukewarm bath or shower. Also, when shaving, putting on the shaving product (that is rich in the moisturizing agents) beforehand, is a must.
Having introduced these healthy habits into the lifestyle, it is important to be aware of the harmful effect of the sun rays. It can cause the pigmented patches on the skin and dramatically decrease the softness and elasticity of it, but, unfortunately, the sun rays are one of the most common provokers of the skin cancer, as well. Because of that, it is compulsory to apply the sun care products every time before the sunbathing or before any direct exposure to the sun. Dermatologists even recommend wearing white clothes with long sleeves and pants, in order to block the rays totally. Also, it is not recommendable to sunbathe in the period between the 10 AM and 4 PM.
Besides the sun, the cigarette smoke is to be avoided, too. The reason is simple; this nasty habit leads to the shrinking of the capillaries and thus minimizes the circulation in the area below the skin. So, the result is the deficiency of the nutrients and oxygen from the blood and the lack of the elastin and collagen.
