Gastritis Ulcers

If you have a gastrointestinal disorder such as stomach or gastritis ulcer, this is the diet for you. If you use this diet along with medications for this problem, you may eliminate the problem successfully. The peptic ulcers or gastritis ulcers are located in the stomach lining or in the first part of the intestine named duodenum, though they can also be created in theesophagus.

This problem can be present among people of all age and sex. The hydrochloric acid is main cause of this problem. It can destroy or cause inflammation of the intestinal or gastritic mucosal lining of the stomach, which will lead to gastritic ulcers. This effect of the hydrochloric acid can be created due to the helicobacter pylori bacteria inflammation, the infection which is created because of the intake of contaminated water or food, or poor eatinghabits.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, stress, alcohol and cigarettes can also create this problem. When the problem is present, it will create gnawing and burning sensation in the stomach, indigestion, and heartburn. In the following text we will give you a diet that can reduce these problems.

Diet for Gastritis Ulcers

There are foods that can bring more harm and increase the irritation of the stomach, while there are some foods that will provide the minerals and nutrients needed to eliminate the problem. This is the basis for this diet. Also, we recommend taking small meals instead of few big ones, because this can stimulate the gastric blood flow and decrease the chances of acid reflux. Irritation can be made worse if you eat big meals and spicy food.

Food we recommend are lean ham, canned fish, eggs, lamb, pork and beef, plain milk cheese, nonfat or low fat yogurt, all types of fruits, pancakes, muffins, French toast, macaroni, noodles, barley, pastas, dinner rolls, hamburgers, tortillas, breads and hot dog buns. Food that should be avoided include sausages, poultry or fried meat, strong flavored cheese, evaporated whole milk cheese, buttermilk, chocolate milk, figs, berries, tangerines, pineapples, oranges, grapefruits, lemons, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumber, onions, cabbage, broccoli, corn, snack crackers, wild rice, bran cereals, biscuits and bread.
