Gastric bypass is a surgical operation in which the stomach is made smaller. This is done so that the food does not have the space to store itself. This operation is usually the last option after people have tried other sorts of treatments and programs for weight loss. The operation consists of the stomach pouch being made smaller then connected to the small intestine in order for less food to be eaten. Of course, this is done if no complications occur. Full liquid diet lasts for 14 days and is followed by pureed diet. This diet consists of foods which are soft and smooth. Solid foods can be eaten about 9 weeks after the operation.

Meals with a lot of fats can cause acid reflux, nausea and diarrhea. Minerals and vitamins are the most welcome nutrients in the gastric bypass diet. Turkey with cheese

For this meal to be prepared, a person should have 8 ounces of turkey sausage, 6 eggs, 1 cup of shredded low-fat cheese, 2 potatoes and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. The preparation of the meal is not that difficult. First, a person should preheat the oven until it reaches 375 degrees F. Then, the eggs should be beaten along with half a cup of cheese in a medium size bowl. Olive oil should be heated in a skillet and the turkey needs to be fried. After the person have cut the potatoes, he or she should put them in a pan as well. 13 x 9 glass of baking dish should be coated with olive oil. After that, a person should place the potatoes and the turkey into it. When this is done, the egg mixture should be poured in there as well. Now, the meal is ready to be baked for about quarter of an hour. When the meal is taken out, half a cup of cheese that remained should be poured upon it.
