Dry skin on eyelids

Every part on the body has its function and the main role of the eyelids is to protect the eyes from the external factors. This part of the body or the eye can also be affected by certain disorders. Causes of dry skin on the eyelids

In the majority of cases, the dry skin on the eyelids occurs due to a condition that is medically called blepharitis. This condition represents the inflammation of the eyelids. In most cases, the most common symptoms of this eyelid inflammation are redness, dryness and itching, as well as the total irritation of the skin on the eyelids.

Many people experience allergies as a reaction to bee sting. When the allergy occurs, it is manifested through the swollen skin on the eyelids, which become red and dry in addition. In women, dryness of the eyelids can be caused due to the excessive make up, such as the use of mascara and eye shadow. These products may contain certain ingredients to which the skin is allergic and because of that, the skin becomes dry. Many eye infections are also responsible for the occurrence of dry skin on the eyelids.

Symptoms that accompany dryness on the eyelids

The person who has the problem with dry skin on the eyelids may also experience several other symptoms, such as redness, swelling, and irritation, as well as soreness, scratching and peeling of the skin.
