If an infection is behind this problem, gargling with warm saline solution 3 times a day can treat your problem successfully, making the inflammation decrease along with the pain. Mouthwashes will do as well.

Some people have managed to deal with this problem by chewing on mint leaves before bedtime. Others have used baking soda and hydrogen peroxide mixture for this purpose. Milk of magnesia is known to help, once applied onto the pimple with a cotton swab.

There are cases where vitamin B deficiency triggers this condition. Then, taking supplements can be of assistance. Nevertheless, you should consult with your doctor beforehand.
