Teeth whitening is a process of restoring the natural whiteness to our teeth. Due to our lifestyles and the food and drinks we consume, our teeth suffer from deposits which pile up on their surface, causing it to become stained. Coffee, alcohol, smoking, improper brushing and many other factors may lead to this problem. Fortunately, you can create great teeth whitening solutions through which you can restore the glow of your teeth, making them look healthier and more aesthetically appealing.

Make Your Own Teeth Whitener

Most of the products you can purchase for teeth whitening purposes contain baking soda. This is so because baking soda is considered to be a natural solution for whitening your teeth, helping you get rid of bacteria as well and keeping your teeth free from staining in the future. However, you can amplify and better the effect of baking soda once you mix it with some other ingredients.

The first recipe for a good teeth whitener will require you to obtain a tablespoon of baking soda, half a tablespoon of vinegar and a pinch of salt. Mix everything together in a small container, creating a paste which you can place on your toothbrush and spread all over your teeth. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, rinsing it off with water. Once you repeat the procedure regularly, you will notice a significant improvement regarding the whiteness of your teeth.

Alternatively, you may mix a tablespoon of baking soda with 2 or 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide, adding two drops of mint flavored mouthwash to the mixture. Place the product on your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it as you normally do with regular toothpaste, rinsing it afterwards.

Baking soda does not have to be the necessary ingredient. For example, you can create an excellent teeth whitener by mixing 3 tablespoons of lemon juice with a tablespoon of salt, using the mixture as you would use your toothpaste.

Also, you can use a tablespoon of powdered with a half of tablespoon of dry orange peel powder. Then, brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste, rubbing the powder all over your teeth afterwards, leaving it on for about 5 minutes, before rinsing it completely.

A tablespoon of powdered orange peel can be mixed with 15 nos. of powdered basal leaves, storing the mixture and using it for teeth powdering every day.

Finally, if you wish to create a homemade teeth whitening gel a tablespoon of baking soda mixed with 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of glycerin will do the trick. Mix the glycerin with the baking powder and form the paste. Then, pour the hydrogen peroxide in a tall glass of water. Once you have placed your toothbrush into the glass, add the glycerin and baking powder mix into it. Brush your teeth by dipping your toothbrush into the mixture often. When you finish brushing, gargle by using the rest of your homemade teeth-whitening product. Use this method every day, in order to achieve the perfect, white effect of your teeth.
