Many people suffer from open or enlarged pores of the skin and this fact could be caused by hereditary traits, poor skin hygiene habits or simply people who have oily skin. What is so troublesome about open pores is that they can lead to other problems such as acne and other kinds of skin imperfections because the open or enlarged pores become clogged with dead skin cells, dirt and sebum. If the clogged skin pores go on uncleaned, they can turn into whiteheads or blackheads covering the face, and if they go on ignored even longer they can become so large that they cannot be tightened at all.
There are plenty of products available on the market that close and clean the pores, but there are also many natural ways of cleaning your skin. However what is important is when you are trying to clear up your facial skin is that you have to keep your skin free of oil. A good way of doing this is to take some rice flour and add a few drops of lemon juice and some honey to the mix. Use this paste to gently scrub your face down focusing on the areas with enlarged pores. The rice flour will scrub the face and pores and will leave the ski soft and smooth. The vitamins and amino acids from the honey will moisturize the skin and the lemon juice will dissolve the sebum.
Another good recipe is to mix a tablespoon of Fuller's earth with a tablespoon of tomato juice, and then spreading and leaving that on your face. The acids in the tomato juice will clear the sebum, while Fuller's earth will clear the extra oils. Wash this face pack off with cold water only after it has dried fully. Warm water should not be used to wash it off, because the heat will dissolve the sebum and leaves it in the pores. After the face pack is off, mix lemon juice with warm water and rinse your face so the lemon can dissolve any sebum left over. Then take a piece of carrot, cucumber and onion, grate them together and apply them to your face for not less than 20 minutes. If your skin is very oily, you can also add some lemon juice to this mix as well. Wash the face pack with cold water again. You should keep doing this for at least once every week and use the face scrub every other day to keep your skin clear and oil free.
