Introduction to acne

Everyone knows what acne is an has probably suffered from some form of the skim ailment at one time or another. It usually results in lesions on the face, neck, chest and back and most people have the greatest problems with acne when they are teenagers.

It is not that well known that the things a person eats can often be the cause of the acne.

Unbalanced eating schedules, too much starch, excessive sugar, fried foods an fatty foods have been known to cause acne.

There have also been ties drawn between chronic constipation and acne as well.

If the bowels are not relieved regularly, then the bloodstream is infected toxins that will make it harder for the skin to get rid of waste materials, which leads to acne and other skin conditions.

People who drink too much coffee, smoke or drink a lot of alcohol, and also lead inactive lives, are more prone to having acne problems as well.

Home remedies

There are vitamins that can be taken to help treat acne, two in particular, niacin and vitamin A.

Zinc can also help to treat acne.

There are also various home remedies that can be used to improve the appearance of the skin.

Lemon is very beneficial for the skin. It has been shown that when lemon juice is applied to the skin regularly it can help to remove acne and pimples.

Garlic is also beneficial. A good thing to do is to massage the skin with raw garlic several times a day. Three seeds of raw garlic should also be eaten on a daily basis for at least a month in order to see some positive changes in the skin.

Take a teaspoon of coriander juice, some turmeric powder, mix them together and create a very effective home remedy for acne.

This should be applied to the face before bed every night. Mint juice can be used instead of coriander as well.

Fenugreek can be used to create a paste that is applied to the face overnight and then washed with hot water in the morning. This will help to get rid of acne, especially blackheads.

Grated cucumber should be applied to the troubled areas and left on the skin for about 20 minutes. This will improve the overall glow and health of the skin and will prevent acne.

It is a good idea to eat more fruits and vegetables when trying to get rid of acne, and to avoid foods such as meats, sugar, coffee, pickles, soda, ice cream and processed foods in general.
