A Brief Introduction

Stressis one of the words written in bold when it comes to describing our zeitgeist. We live in a turbulent era and consequentially accumulate lots and lots of pressure on a daily basis – whether we notice it or consciously choose to amputate and vent it in a way.

However, this concourse bit is not something a human body knows how to do on its own, and thus, one of the most common hazardous manifestations of stress are eye bags.

Eyebags are, in actuality, fat accumulation in the area of the eyes – most likely and indirectly caused by the daily stress a person may be suffering. They will not appear directly, but instead will develop over time. It is most likely a matter of years. Yes, that is how long it takes, but once they're there, the only way out may be surgery.

Otherreasons, apart from maintaining a constant, stressful lifestyle, may be: allergies, hormonal issues, staying up too late at night, thyroid conditions on Graves' disease, saggy skin caused by aging and bending the head over for several hours during the day before.

Even Cleopatra had Eye Bags, too

Itis funny to note that the Egyptian queen Cleopatra, infamous for her irresistible beauty – and who bared the nicknames such as Possessed of Charm, Exuding Happiness, Mistress of Sweetness, Beloved One, Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt, Great King's Wife and Lady of the two – also, herself wore a pair of eye bags.

That's right, not the very woman, also known as the most powerful woman on earth, and the woman who established many standards of beauty when it comes to the female body, wasn't spared of this unpleasant personal aesthetic detail.

Evidence of this is a bust of Cleopatra, which depicts the beauty symbol in her full grace – but also in a sincere fashion, that is to say not overlooking the eye bags.

Andin fact, this bit of information only makes her all the more interesting. This is because, clearly, Cleopatra had her ways of going around this little inconvenience, without looking tired, old tired and sleepy, and without losing an ounce of her grace as she grew old and wrinkled. Aside from that it can only make for comforting news that, ultimately, beauty is not only a question of what a person is working with but also how.

However, the down side of it is that eye bags can affect anyone – no matter old or young. Conclusively, the best ways of avoiding getting a pair of those would be sleeping regularly, not smoking, avoiding sun exposure, drinking enough water and using high quality moisturizers.
