Beta-sitosterolExperts agree that beta-sitosterol is excellent for an enlarged prostate. Sugarcane pulp contains it but so do herbs like palmetto and pygeum.
Flax seed oilThis oil has lots of omega-3 and omega-6 acids and it is very good for an enlarged prostate. Apart from this oil, omega-3 acids can be found in basil, tuna, halibut and salmon and cod liver oils.
Foods rich in zincZinc is an important mineral and it helps with the problems of an enlarged prostate and inflamed prostate. A person should consume more foods that have high quantities of zinc like eggs, red meat, shellfish, dairy products and oysters.
