Nasonex
Nasonex is a medication in a form of spray, which is given in case of nasal congestion and sneezing caused by allergies, and nasal polyps in adults. Nasonex is a steroid which means that it can weaken your immune system and make you more prone to infections. It is recommended to stay away form sick people and to visit your doctor as soon as possible if you have been exposed to any infections. Your doctor must be informed about any conditions, especially those concerning your nose, such as injuries, nasal sores or ulcers. You must also tell your doctor about disorders such as cataract, glaucoma, herpes infection which affected the eyes, tuberculosis or any other condition. Make sure you notify your doctor whether you are pregnant or you are breastfeeding because Nasonex can affect the development of your baby.Side Effects
Every medication carries risk of allergic reactions and side effects. Allergic reactions to Nasonex may include swelling of the tongue, lips or face, changes on the skin such as rash, itchiness or irritation, breathing difficulties, and tension in the chest. In case of allergy to Nasonex your doctor will replace the treatment. Some of the side effects of Nasonex which are not believed to be serious include mild headache, nausea, mild flu-like symptoms such as stuffy nose, coughing and sore throat, pain in the joints and muscles, and appearance of white patches in the nose. Serious side effects of Nasonex are severe burning and pain inside the nose, nose bleedings, persistent sores or white parches in the nose and sinus infection. You may also experience severe flu-like symptoms, ache in the entire body, changes in taste and smell, headache, vision impairment, blood in the mucus, infection of the upper respiratory tract, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea and pain in the chest. Women may notice that their menstruation is more painful. Inform your doctor about any unusual changes because the dose of Nasonex would have to be adjusted.Body System

Side effect can be classified as endocrine, gastrointestinal, immunologic, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, ocular, respiratory and cardiovascular side effects. There are also side effects which involve the nervous system and local side effects which refer to the particular site where Nasonex was administered.
