A cure for baby eczema

Every parent wonders whether there is a cure for baby eczema. People need to know that there is no cure but it is highly likely that eczema will disappear as the child gets older. The condition usually goes away by the time the child reaches the age of six.

Treatment

Parents need to know that the most important thing that they should pay attention if their child or baby has eczema is to keep their skin moist and soft. Dry skin is a lot more likely to itch. Bathing the child every day is a good advice. However, parents need to substitute the soap in order for the skin not to dry out. Bath oils are a good substitute.

The water must not be hot and it should be warm. The main reason why that is so, is because heat provokes itchiness. After the bath it is important not to rub the skin but pat it using a soft towel. All doctors will recommend that parents use emollients or moisturizers in order to keep the skin of their child soft and moist. The moisturizer should be applied at least once per day but it can be applied four times as well.
