Treatment of eczema

Even though a lot of children suffer from eczema during their younger years, it is highly possible that the condition will resolve when they reach the age of 6. However, people should always watch out for various factors that may trigger eczema to occur.
The first thing that a person can do is to make sure never to scratch because that will only make things worse. Keeping the fingernail short is very important. If the child is too young, parent should make them wear anti-scratch mittens. Running the skin with fingers helps a lot.


Even there is no cure for eczema, there are certain medications that will relieve inflammation and ease the symptoms. People should talk to the doctor about those medications.


Steroid creams, such as Hydrocortisone, are known to be good for treating eczema. Since there are creams with different strength, people should start by using mild ones.
