Health benefits of vinegar
Vinegar can be used to clear chest and nasal congestions. A few spoons of it can be added to a large bowl of hot, steaming water and used for inhaling. It also clears the sinuses and relieves the pressure in the head caused by sinus infections.
Cramps in the legs or any other part of the body can be relieved by applying compresses soaked in undiluted vinegar. The same remedy can be used for sprains and strains.
Vinegar compresses, only this time diluted in water in 1:1 ratio, can be used as a remedy in case of headaches and migraines.
Toe nail fungus can be cured by soaking the feet in the solution made of one part vinegar and two parts water. The feet should be dipped in this solution for 15 minutes each day for several days or weeks, depending on the severity of the fungal infection.
Sore throat is a common symptom of seasonal colds. It can be efficiently soothed by gargling a glass of water with one teaspoon of vinegar in it, and the solution should then be swallowed. If it is too sour, a teaspoon of honey can be added.
Vinegar can be mixed with corn starch to form a thick paste, which is a great remedy against rashes and hives.
Vinegar for skin
Vinegar is highly recommended for dry, itchy and irritated skin and it also works great on mild burns. Two tablespoons of it can be added to bath water to relieve dry skin in the whole body.
Sunburns, jellyfish and bee stings can be treated with vinegar, using a soaked cotton ball. Vinegar can even be used to reduce the signs of aging, especially if it is mixed with onion juice.
One cup of white vinegar mixed with one gallon of water makes an excellent remedy that is used for soaking dry and tired feet. After 45 minutes of this foot bath, the feet will be soft, smooth and refreshed.
Vinegar for hair
Vinegar can provide great relief against dandruff. It should be used after shampooing and rinsing. The ratio is half a cup of vinegar in two cups of warm water.
Rinsing with the same solution also helps against frizz in curly or permed hair, it makes the hair shiny and glossy and it seals the color in dyed hair.
