Cialis is a medication which is given to the men who have problems with achieving erection. Cialis improves the circulation and relaxes the muscles. This medication can be taken only once in 24 hours.

Side Effects

Some of the side effects may occur during sexual activity. In case you feel dizzy, or experience nausea, numbness or pain in the chest or any part of the body, contact your doctor immediately because these side effects are considered to be dangerous. Also contact your doctor if you experience erection which lasts more than four hours and it is followed by pain. The most common side effects of Cialis include headache, lightheadedness, flushing, mild pain in the back, mild pain in the muscles, upset stomach, heartburn and nasal congestion. If these common side effects go away on their own after your body has adjusted to Cialis, you do not need any special medical attention. However, if these side effects become severe and persistent, you should visit your doctor. More serious side effects of Cialis include irregular pulse, pain in the chest, faintness, numbness in the extremities and weakness in one side of the body. You may also experience loss of memory, vision impairment, hearing impairment, seizures, pain in the muscles and severe skin disorders, such as blisters, and redness, swelling or peeling of the skin. Another serious side effect of Cialis is painful erection which lasts several hours.

Allergic Reaction and Overdose

Allergic reactions to Cialis may include swelling of the mouth, tongue, face or throat, itchiness, rash or irritation of the skin, breathing difficulties and tension in the chest. If you took too much of Cialis, you may experience pain in the chest, very fast or very slow pulse, dizziness or faintness, or nausea. As soon as you notice any of these reactions, contact your doctor.

Precautions

You should inform your doctor about any allergies, diseases and health problems before you start taking Cialis. It must be taken with precautions if you suffer from any heart disease, kidney or liver disease, blood disorder, stomach ulcers, inherited retinal disorder or any penile deformities. If you have diabetes, high level of cholesterol in your blood, high blood pressure or if you are a smoker, you may be at greater risk of side effects, especially vision impairment. Also inform your doctor if you are taking any medications. It is not recommended to drink alcohol with Cialis because you may suffer from side effects.
