It was believed that only women can develop this condition, but that is not true because men also suffer from osteoporosis.
Temporomandibular joint disorder
This condition is caused by the inflammation of the joint between the head of the lower jawbone and the temporal bone. TMJ can be very painful and over time, the condition can worsen. The treatment for this condition is quite complicated and it includes neurological and physical therapy, and many more. TMJ is often followed by other disorders of the joints.
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
This condition is characterized by burning and painful sensations in the extremities, though it can also be accompanied by stains or bulges on the skin, changed temperature and extreme sensitivity of the painful place.
Fibromyalgia
This condition is known by its long-lasting, recurrent and diffused pain. There are no exact standards for recognizing this condition, but it does not only include pain. We know that it is not transmittable and that it can be developed due to hereditary factors. The studies showed that fibromyalgia is not dangerous, but it can greatly affect the quality of life.
Other diseases
Polio is caused by a virus and it can be transmitted on another individual. Fortunately, today this disease is extremely rare in the States. However, it is present in countries such as Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
Porphyria is hard to diagnose because of the signs which are not specific, and this is the condition that affects skin or nervous system.
