Joints of the fingers,knees, hips and spine are the most commonly affected parts of the body. Thiscondition may also lead to inflammation and pain in other joints of the body, suchas wrists, ankles, elbows or shoulders. Osteoarthritis affects the cartilageand causes its transformation to structure similar to the bones, which in turncauses bone injuries, stiffness and pain.
