If you suffer from "endo", you are not alone by any means. Did you know that five and a half million women across the United States and Canada struggle with this condition? It is also, unfortunately, one of the primary causes for infertility. Adhesions, pain, bowel issues and scar tissue formation can all negatively impact a woman's fertility. Endometriosis patients who are trying to get pregnant will sure be wondering whether they can make it happen spontaneously, and what they can do to increase their chances.
Endometriosis, like most other conditions, can range from mild to severe. If you have a mild case of endo, and your fallopian tubes are not damaged by it, your chances of getting pregnant with endometriosis are good. Lifestyle changes, and discussing means of increasing fertility with your doctor, may make your chances even better. Women who suffer from blocked fallopian tubes and tubal damage will have a harder time. For them, assisted reproductive methods like intrauterine insemination (IUI), invitro fertilization (IVF) and fertility medications may offer the path to parenthood.
The key to knowing which of these applies to you personally is seeing a reproductive endocrinologist as soon as possible. The sooner you are able to receive the help you need, the better your chances of getting pregnant naturally or with a little help are. Did you get pregnant naturally with endo? We would love you to share your experiences to inspire other ladies with this condition.
