Neuropathy

Disease or dysfunction of peripheral nervous system known as neuropathy causes nerve pain. Peripheral nervous system is, basically, all nerves other than those in the spine and brain, which serve to transfer information between the central nervous system and the rest of the body. Failure of peripheral nervous system caused by neuropathy results in loss of sensation, typically in the legs and feet (due to their length, nerves that go all the way down are most susceptible to damage), inability to control muscles, and pain. It can damage important or vital organs such as heart, eyes and kidneys, and cause the nerves to misfire, relaying information too slow or relaying wrong information.

This condition can be caused by medical conditions such as diabetes (actually, half of the long-time sufferers from diabetes end up with neuropathy), but the underlying cause is frequently unknown. Because of this, neuropathy can be very difficult to treat. Still, there are some ways to relieve the resulting pain. Among these is use of homeopathic remedies. How homeopathy works

All remedies (natural or medical), cause a different response, depending on the individual that uses them. So, when you opt for homeopathic remedies, be aware that certain remedy might or might not work for you. Try to use remedies that are known to work on as many symptoms of your condition as possible. If there is no relief after several intakes of the chosen remedy, try different one. Keep in mind that not all remedies have the same potency, and that weaker remedies need more doses to achieve effects that more powerful remedies achieve after a few doses. Also, you should not drink coffee, eat or brush your teeth with mint flavoured toothpaste for half an hour before and after intake of any homeopathic remedy.
