Introduction

Both canola oil and vegetable oil are commonly used forcooking purposes. It is often debated which option provides more benefits andwhich one is healthier. The canola plant comes from the same family asradish, turnips and mustard do. Canola oil is one of the healthiest types ofcooking oil. It contains plenty of monounsaturated fats and moderate amounts ofsaturated fats. It is also an excellent source of linoleic acid, omega 6 fattyacids and different sorts of omega 3 fatty acids such as alpha linolenic acid.It is completely safe to use although some people still point out that it maybe associated with certain side effects such as high blood pressure,hypertension and other problems but certain studies have shown that it couldnot be further from the truth.

Vegetable Oil - Pros & Cons

These oils are considered to be healthier thananimal fats. One of the best vegetable oils is olive oil. It is a natural remedy for many ailments. Other popular vegetable oilsinclude coconut oil, palm oil, corn oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil andsoybean oil. Vegetable oils contain large amounts of polyunsaturated fats whichcould be a problem in some cases.
