Sunflower oil is a non-volatile type of edible oil which is obtained from sunflower seeds. There are two different types of sunflower oil and they are, high oleic sunflower oil and linoleic oil. High oleic sunflower oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of the sunflower plant. This type of oil contains high amounts of oleic acid and it is also much more stable and resistant to rancidity than the linoleic type of sunflower oil. It contains more than 80 percent of monounsaturates which is a rather high percentage.
