Liver is responsible for metabolizing of almost all substances that come into our body. If the liver functions properly, your health is uncompromised.

Possible liver diseases are: hepatitis (liver inflammation), fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, Wilson’s disease, etc. If you experience coated tongue, extreme sweating, dark circles or red and swollen eyes, skin blemishes or rosacea and flushed face you might have problems with improper liver function. Yellowing of your eyes or your skin, dark urine, pale stool, easy bleeding, and bone loss could also suggested liver problems.

There are many influences on liver health. Some of them could be controlled and some avoided. Supplements might be helpful to control the health of your liver.

Alcohol

If you use alcohol, consider adding some supplements to your diet. Even the small amount of alcohol affects the liver. Over the time, use of alcohol could lead to liver dysfunction, damage or even liver cirrhosis. Abuse of this substance may cause fatty liver damage.

Cigarettes

Using tobacco in any way (smoking, chewing…) can damage your liver. Toxic substances from the smoke harm your body and liver takes time and effort to eliminate them. Also, smoking decreases the amount of oxygen liver (and other organs, too) need to function normally.

Caffeine

Coffee, tea and many other drinks contain high amounts of caffeine. This substance is a stimulant and may cause liver (and the teeth and other organs) problems. Sugar present in caffeinated drinks is also a big problem. So, you might use supplements to prevent potential disorders.

Medications

Many prescription medications may affect the liver, causing the accumulation of potentially harmful toxins in the body. Take liver supplements to prevent liver damage.

Dieting

Weight loss is almost impossible if your liver doesn’t function as it should be. Liver regulates the cholesterol levels, helps to metabolize and eliminate the fat, thus providing efficient dieting and weight loss. Use of supplements in this case may potentiate the liver efficacy and make you lose those extra pounds more easily.

Unhealthy Food

Highly processed food, rich in fat, sodium and other chemical substances is proven to be harmful for the body. Liver can hardly keep up with the requirements of this food, to filter the toxic substances from your body. Try to eat more healthy food and use liver supplements to avoid possible liver problems.

Environment

Environmental pollution causes your body to buildup toxins inside it. Liver is responsible for toxic disposal in the body and because of the smog and other pollutants it has to work harder than ever to eliminate the toxins. Therefore, use of liver supplements might be a good idea, because they can make you healthier.
