Every person in the world is familiar with lower back pain and there are only a few who have probably never felt it at least once in their life. Lower back pain is characterized as pain or discomfort that people feel in the lower back region, with the pain commonly going all the way to the pelvis. Structural causes of this type of pain are muscle spasm, osteoarthritis, herniated disc, spinal degeneration, osteoporosis and spine fracture, among others. Apart from these, there are also some other possible causes of lower back pain like fibromyalgia, pelvic inflammatory disease and uterine prolapsed. People should know that there are also some life-threatening causes like kidney stones, multiple myeloma, prostate cancer and spinal tumor or cancer.
People should know more about risk factors in order to reduce and avoid them. Some of the most common are obesity, family history, congenital back deformities, poor posture, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, stress and age. People need to treat this problem in order to avoid any further complications.
