The Real Danger
During the recent years, we have been constantly reminded about the deadly virus of swine flu, taking more and more human lives. Moreover, some people classify it as the worst epidemic since the plague.
Yet, we need to open our eyes a bit wider and look at the world around us. So far, swine flu, according to official statistical data, has claimed over 8,000 lives world-wide. On the other hand, a human-made epidemic called prescription drugs, kills about 49,000 people in 300 days.
This leads us to the real danger of today's society. Surely, swine flu is dangerous and many lives have been lost due to its actions. Yet, if we consider it as a natural virus, there was little we could have done against it until the vaccine was created. As far as medications are concerned, we are well aware of the dangers of many prescription pills. Nevertheless, these are sold without worries or precautions, taking lives on a daily basis. Wake up – the primary epidemic is man-made and it is the most dangerous one so far.
The Prescription Drug Epidemic
A frightening number of more than 120,000 Americans end up in hospitals each year, due to their overdose on painkillers. Moreover, 26,000 of these cases turn out to be terminal.
So, on one side we have numbers, which stand for people who lost their lives and ended up sick while seeking treatment and on the other side we have a complete ignorance of this information by the government and any official organ in that respect.
Contrary to all logic, the government is protecting itself, making excuses or diverting the guilt to a different side, keeping the profits from the pharmacological industry steady and rising, as well as the numbers of deaths year after year. Depression, suicides, behavioral and personality disorders – this is all good business.
Stay Aware
Even though most of us like to believe that there is good in this world and that people who are to take care of us know justice and righteousness, this may not necessarily be true. We live in a world of ruthless, false economy and money. Each and every one of us has his/her own monetary value and, as such, we are expendable, for the sake of profit.
Therefore, pay taxes, watch the news, rely on science, but stay absolutely aware of the world above you and the hidden agenda hanging above our heads, keeping yourself and all the people you love safe.
