Tamiflu

Tamiflu is a medication which is prescribed to the people who were infected with an influenza virus. It is effective only if it is given right after the exposure or in case the symptoms are present less than 48 hours. As soon as you notice any symptoms of flu, you should visit your doctor. The symptoms of fly include fever or chills, sore throat, sneezing and aches in the muscles. Tamiflu will reduce the symptoms after only a couple of days.

Tamiflu and Pregnancy

Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or if you are breastfeeding before you start using Tamiflu. You should discuss the treatment options with your doctor since there is no adequate data whether Tamiflu causes harm to the unborn baby. On the other hand, if a pregnant woman is not being treated for influenza, this may cause more damage to the baby than Tamiflu. So far, only animal studies have been performed, but they have not provided sufficient evidence.
