Introduction

Lack of exercise together with bad posture may consequently lead to headache in the back of the head.

This condition is potentially hereditary. And finally, people who are suffering from sinus infections or those who have to deal with cluster headaches may feel pain in the back of the head.

Treatment of Headaches of the Back of the Head

The pain can be easily relieved with certain medications. Painkillers such as ibuprofen or Aspirin can be rather helpful. The relief from pain is only transient and the headache can occur within days. The best option is prevention. Coping with everyday stress and exercises can reduce the pain.
