Endometriosis Fertility Rates

The endometrium is the tissue that lines the inner portion of the uterine cavity and when the tissue spreads to other parts of the body, the results are a disease called endometriosis. Endometriosis fertility rates show that approximately 5-10% of women have the condition and another 30-40% of women that have the disease will be infertile. The only way to make a definite diagnosis of the condition is by a laparoscopic procedure in which a physician will view the organs of the pelvic cavity to check for the presence of endometrial tissue. The treatment and diagnosis of endometriosis is not always clear cut for a woman.
