Proloftin is another over-the-counter solution for anxiety. It has anxiolytic and mildly sedative effect. It replenishes the levels of vitamin B in the body and thus make it more able to fight the stress.

Benadryl is widely known as an allergy drug, but not many people know it can be used to treat anxiety as well. In fact, it can be used for many problems, like insomnia, nausea, loose motions and more.

Plassiflora incarnata is a herbal remedy that has little or no side effects and can be successfully used to treat anxiety. It usually comes in form of liquid that can be mixed with tea or just plain water. It is also useful against insomnia.

Chamomile is yet another herbal remedy that many people use to calm the nerves and soothe sore muscles. It helps with anxiety, insomnia, stress, nervousness, upset stomach, sore throat and other problems. Chamomile is usually taken in form of tea, but it can also be purchased as powder, tablets, capsules or tincture.

All these over-the-counter medications and remedies are safe when used to treat anxiety, but that does not mean they can be used in unlimited amounts. It is very important to always follow the instructions on the label and not to exceed the suggested dosages.
