Circulatory system or cardiovascular system is one of the most important systems in the human body, which is comprised of the heart, blood vessels and blood. The heart pumps the blood rich in oxygen and nutrient through the blood vessels to the different parts of the body. The blood makes certain pressure on the walls of the blood vessels and that is called blood pressure.

When the blood pressure is measured, it shows two numbers. The upper number represents systolic blood pressure and it is the blood pressure when the heart beats, while the lower number represents diastolic blood pressure and it it is the blood pressure when the heart is relaxed. The normal blood pressure is regarded to be 120/80 mm Hg. When the blood pressure is low, it is called hypotension, and when the blood pressure is high due to many reasons, it is called hypertension.

Causes of labile hypertension

Labile hypertension is a high blood pressure marked by abrupt, unexpected and repeated fluctuations of varying degrees. One of the most common causes of this condition is stress. The people who are constantly under some sort of stress usually suffer from labile high blood pressure. For example, the person with labile hypertension does not experience heart palpitations. The most common symptoms of this condition are headaches and tinnitus or ringing in the ears. There are cases when labile high blood pressure can be asymptomatic. It is very dangerous because it can damage many organs in the body without the person being aware of it.
