Myrrh remedies
There are several remedies that list myrrh as their main ingredient. For example, a highly effective remedy for throat infections can be made from half a teaspoon of myrrh dissolved in a glass of lukewarm water. This solution is used for gargling, it sooths the scratchy and dry throat and disinfects it. It will also relieve the pain, thanks to its analgesic properties.
Myrrh can also repair dry, chapped lips. The remedy is made by adding 25 drops of myrrh tincture to a regular lip balm and it is supposed to be used whenever the lips feel dry.
For mouth infections and sores, a myrrh remedy is made from 30 drops of myrrh tincture to a glass of lukewarm water, and it is used as a mouthwash. This solution, just like the one used for sore throat, is not supposed to be swallowed.
