Echinacea is another potent remedy. Ginseng has become another popular remedy lately. It is not recommended for those who take blood thinning medications and for those who suffer from any type of hormone related conditions. Those who suffer from diabetes and heart conditions should also avoid ginseng. Ginger is another potent remedy although it may cause indigestion or heartburn in some cases. Other remedies that can be used for the treatment and prevention include eucalyptus oil and elderberry.
