It develops somewhere around the beginning of menopause. Women who are older than 50 years are at higher risk of uterine cancer appearance, while women suffering from endometrial hyperplasia, high blood pressure and obesity belong to the group that has more predispositions to this cancer development. But, it also has a good side, as it is treatable with a surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

There are some other cancer types that appear in women, and gestational trophoblastic tumor (GTT), ovarian cancer, vaginal and vulvar cancer are the most frequent ones. So, as you can see, it is important for a woman to visit regularly her gynecologist, even if she is in menopause, because these cancers can appear in menopause and earlier.
