The human body is still the most perfect machine we have today. It can adapt on different exterior influences, it can self-heal, and we still don’t know all the limits of the human body. It contains approximately 200 bones, 100 billion nerve cells and 2 gallons of blood. We all know of external body parts such as eyes, ears, nose, hands, legs, etc., but how much we really know about interior human organs?
Major Systems of the Human Body
If we want to know the human body, we should first try to get to know the major body systems in our body. Nervous System is a system that gathers processes and transfers all the information to and from the body with the help of the central and peripheral nerves, spinal cord and brain.Musculo skeletal System is enabling us to move our body with muscles and ligaments. Circulatory System is pumping and channeling our blood to and from the whole body and lungs. Parts of cardiovascular systems are veins, arteries and capillary, and the heart.Endocrine System is communicating inside the body using hormones. Hormones are products of endocrine glands like, for example, hypothalamus, thyroid gland, pituitary gland, parathyroid gland, pineal gland, and adrenal gland.Digestive System body parts are: liver, gallbladder, stomach, pancreas, bowels, esophagus, salivary glands in the mouth, rectal and anal part of the colon. The role of the digestive system is to process the food. Integumentary System is consists of different layers of skin, hair and nails. For fighting the disease and self-repairing, we have the immune system. Tonsils, white blood cells, spleen, adenoids and thymus are parts of this system.Lymphatic System is transferring lymph between blood stream and different layers of tissue. Endocannabinoid System is made of neuromodulatory fats and receptors, which assist in a variety of bodily procedures, including sensation of the pain, appetite, motor learning, mood changes, plasticity of the synapses and memory.Skeletal System is the main supporting system. It provides the form to our body and holds it. Parts of the skeletal system are many different kinds of bones, ligaments and cartilage. Reproductive System differs at man and women. Feminine reproductive system parts are vagina, uterus, ovaries, mammary glands and fallopian tubes, and the male reproductive system is made of the testicles, prostate, penis, seminal vesicles and vas deferens.Urinary System is taking care of fluid equilibrium in the body, electrolyte equilibrium and it manages the excretion of urine. Parts of this system are ureters, kidneys, urethra and bladder.Respiratory System enables you to breathe, and is made of the diaphragm, lungs, trachea, larynx, bronchi and pharynx.Vestibular Systems's role is to maintain the body balance and our sense of spatial coordination.
