Rynatan is anantihistamine that relieves runny nose and nasal congestion which can appearbecause of the common cold, fever, inflamed sinuses, and other upperrespiratory problems. One tablet of Rynatan is used twice a day and it is very important not to overdose with this medication, because it can lead to very serious consequences.

Before usingthis drug, the patient must consult the doctor. Rynatan tablets can be used alone or in combination withother drugs, antibiotics and analgesics such as Aspirin or acetaminophen, whilethe treatment lasts. There are several cases when Rynatan is not recommended. The patients with kidney and liver diseases must be carefulwhen using this drug, as well as nursing mothers and pregnant women. This drug increases the effects of alcohol. The occurrence of high bloodpressure, heart disease, circulatory troubles, an overactive thyroid gland,diabetes or an enlarged prostate gland must be reported to the physician.

Rynatan has some side effects. Whether or not certain side effects will appear in future, it depends on a person, and cannot always be predicted. The person who takes this drug usually complains of symptoms such as headache, increase of the body weight, nausea, vomiting, tremors, and shaking. It is very possible to experience swelling of the throat if using thismedicine. The occurrences of diarrhea, constipation, anorexia, irritable colon,flatulence are the examples of gastrointestinal side effects. Yellowing of the skin and eyes, or paleskin is also likely to happen. Angioedema of the face, extremities, lips, tongue,and larynx has been reported in patients treated with Rynatan. This may occurat any time during the treatment.

In addition tothese side effects, there are even problems with breathing, andheart or cardiovascular problems: tachycardia, bradycardia, and arrhythmias aswell as angina, hypertension, and peripheral edema. There have been cases where the following problems occurred:dark urine, reduced or frequent urination, serious allergic reactions such asrash and hives, joint pain and abdominal cramps. Many patients even reporteddepression, nervousness,hallucinations, confusion,agitation, insomnia, anxiety, dream disturbances, and apathy while they were on this treatment. A significant number of patientshad the problems with the senses, especially with the vision which was blurred,or they had an acute inflammation of the inner ear. In women it used to happen to getearly menstruation.

This drug can alsocause drowsiness and sleepiness so it is extremely important not to drive whileusing Rynatan.
