Medication limits levels of harmful triglycerides and cholesterol in the blood bringing out good cholesterol.

Musculoskeletal Side Effects

HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors that are used to treat rare cases of rhabdomyolysis and myopathy, increases proteinuria, creatine kinase, renal failure or myoglobinuria. The symptoms of medication side effects are: sensitivity, muscle pain or weakness. Development of symptoms includes elevation and measured creatine kinase. In such case, Rosuvastatin should be aborted too.

A regular creatine kinase monitored is not familiar. Musculoskeletal also has side effects and those side effects are arthralgia, back pain, myalgia, arthritis, asthenia or pathological fracture. Musculoskeletal side effects in the combination with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors increased tendon rupture, creatine kinase, rhabdomyolysis, myopathy, and dermatomyositis.

Renal Side Effects

Renal side effect could be renal failure especially if rosuvastatin has been taken, with no determined causality. Patients with statin therapy may be at kidney failure increased risk if they are not on statins.

Proteinuria Side Effects

Proteinuria side effects hematuria or without, occurred during rosuvastatin therapy and are linked to a dosage of medicine.
