Fertility is a fragile and often unpredictable thing. Many young and otherwise healthy couples find that after months or even years of trying to conceive they still have no luck and that something might be wrong. There are, of course, issues and physical problems that may cause infertility and that should be addressed appropriately. Sometimes though, as feng shui teaches, there is something wrong in the environment and in the balance of the home, which may be blocking the way of successful conception.

Feng shui is very popular today and many people follow its guidelines it when organizing their office space, homes, gardens, even cars. Feng shui promises improvement in many aspects of life, from romance and relationships, financial status and carrier, to health and even fertility.

Feng shui guidelines that are proposed to improve fertility are focused on the couple trying to conceive, especially the father, as well as their home environment.

Tips for improving fertility feng shui

When it comes to fertility, feng shui faces the emphasis on the father and on his “descendant’s luck”. The essential thing is to establish the direction of it, which is the northwest, and all the activities should be faced in that direction- head is directed to the northwest when sleeping, facing that direction when working, eating, reading, and so on.

Another way to activate the descendant’s luck is to place a metal oscillating fan in a northwestern corner and to keep it on during the day.

If the northwestern direction does not work for the Aspiring father, a kua calculator can be used to determine personal feng shui directions.

In the house, all objects that block the energy flow towards the front door must be removed. The front door is the “mouth of chi” and the space outside it should be clear too.

The west sector of the house is associated with children. This space should be free of fire objects, such as candles, and enhanced with earth objects, like ceramic vases, as well as with metal or electronic objects.

In the bedroom, the bed must not share the same wall as the door, bathroom or kitchen. This room should only be used for rest and romance, which means that TV sets, computers, exercise equipment and plants should be removed.

There are also feng shui fertility objects that can help. Dragons should be placed at the man’s bedside table, a pair of elephants on both sides of the bed, double fish at the southwest corner of the bedroom, red paper lanterns on either side of the bed and a single hollow bamboo stick in the north corner of the bedroom.
