Aloe Vera is an aloe plan which originates from the Northernregions of Africa. There are more than 500 species of aloe known to man, andmost of them grow in the dry areas of Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.The plant itself may grow up to a meter in height and it is characterized by thickgray-green leaves with a very fleshy structure and texture. The flowers arelocated on a spike when may grow up to 90 centimeters in length. Aloe Vera doesnot have any special or complicated care requirements, as long as it is not infrosty climate. During the winter, Aloe Vera mustbe kept indoors, and it does not require a lot of water because in most casesit becomes pretty much inactive.

Aloe Vera sap is commonly used as an importantingredient in various cosmetic products such as lotion, moisturizers, tissues,soaps, sunscreens and even make up. Aloe Vera gel is odorless, tasteless andcolorless and it is also commonly used in food preservation, mostly fruit.
