Drug testing for recruitment

Drug abuse and drug addiction have become so widespread that numerous institutions have to secure themselves against these problems. Thus, facilities such as business companies, schools, sport teams and many others require all potential new members to pass a drug test or sets of drug tests. This procedure has been implemented in many facilities around the world and is taken quite seriously.

Therefore, you need to pass a drug test in order to get a job in a certain company. Surely, you are not obliged to take the test. However, if you refuse to do so, there are great chances that you will be considered less adequate for the working position.

Conducting Drug Tests

The most effective drug test of all is the blood test. However, your urine, hair follicle, saliva and some other parts of your body bear witness of potential drug usage. Thus, these can be, and are, tested as well.

The urine drug test procedure consists of taking urine samples from the test candidates. These samples are tested by special kits and sent to laboratories for further analysis. If the candidate has been taking drugs recently, this analysis will show it.

The saliva test is effective as well, but shows only signs of drug usage which took place up to several days ago. As for the hair follicle test, it shows traces of drug usage dating back several months or even years. Yet, the testing process of this type is painful and, thereby, often avoided.

All in all, there are many ways of discovering whether a candidate has been using drugs or not. So, be careful, stay clean and live a happy, healthy life.
